All weather feed. I feed my flock this all year ,keeps growing the feathers.
Great feed for a reasonable price
This is all I use for my new chicks until we move up to layer feed in this brand. I have tried other brands and they like this brand the best. Very Happy!
I was asked by a friend who has many chickens to raise one baby chick that got separated from its mom. I used to have hundreds of chickens so no problem for me. Only problem is the feed store I used for 25 years is no longer running so I had to go buy feed in a "store" instead of a mill. I had no clue. I went with cheapest and it was fine. After that bag was gone I decided if this was a hen I would want it to have organic feed so I switched to this brand and I'm amazed at the difference. This how I knew the difference. My friend feeds the first one I chose. When my chick showed signs of being a rooster he sent me a hen. That hen about 4 weeks older than my rooster. They were about the same size. after two weeks my rooster was way bigger than the new "hen" that actually turned out to also be a rooster. It was also thin, boney, compared to my boy. After about 3 more weeks on this feed the new guy had caught up to my boy. I say had, because he had to go back home. They were fine, but I don't need 2 roosters. Also the feathers are so much shinier and fuller, but that might just be growing up. Now I'm lost as to what to feed once he's 17 weeks.
